Where Do Boat Tours Begin?
Should we go on the boat dolphin tour or the jet ski dolphin tour?
It really depends if you want to spend more time riding jet skis, or relaxing and swimming with dolphins. Although you will be able to do the same things on the jet ski tour, on our boat tours, you'll be able to sit back and enjoy a boat ride in Panama City. Also, there will be fewer people per tour guide on the boat tour, so it'll be a little more personal as well. As your captain is navigating through the coastal waters, he'll be explaining the surrounding area and showing you some things to do in Panama City Beach.
What is Panama City Island?
Panama City Beach Island is known by the locals as Shell Island. It's about 7 miles long and 1 mile across at its beginning, but it tapers down to about a football field. If you're parasailing at Shell Island it looks like a big triangle from the sky. Ever since people started staying at Panama City Beach hotels, they've been traveling to this island for snorkeling adventures, seachells and blue dolphin encounters. It's legally designated as a state park, so there are no businesses or houses there, just beautiful white sand, wild marie life and scenery that you must experience on any Florida vacation. We offer several ways to visit the island, such as parasailing, and pontoon boat rentals. But by far, the most popular choice has been our guided, blue dolphin tours. And now for the first time in Panama City Beach, you can have a personal tour guide take you on a comfortable boat ride to enjoy this famous Panama City attraction!
How many people can ride on the boat at one time?
Our boat rides can accomodate up to 6 people per boat and 1 tour guide. Hoever, we can take as many tour guides and boats as you need! Adventutres at Sea has been providing things to do for Panama City beach vacations for more than 20 years now. So, we have a pretty good idea of how to accomodate any special request or circumstance that your family might have. This includes very large groups and small. We often have softball, baseball and football teams visit us throughout the year, but keep in mind if your group is that big, it would be a great idea to call us in advance. (850) 235-0009.
Can I drive the boat?
Sure! Your Captain will do most of the driving, but if you want to give it a shot - be our guest. Maybe even your kids want to be a Captain for the day, no problem.
Do the boat rides go fast?
The boat has very comfortable cushioned seats, so the ride will be easy. Your Captain is there for you, so he will adjust the speed to meet your needs. Just let the tour guide know what you prefer. That's the beauty of our dolphin tours by boat, every aspect of the attraction is customized for you and your family!
Do we have to stay on the boat the whole time?
Nope. On the boat dolphin tour, you will be going around the St. Andrew's area bay area, and behind Shell Island - loooking for blue dolphin encounters of course. If you want to, you can jump over board (with a life jacket) and swim with dolphins! The dolphins are friendly and will usually swim right along with you and the boat. You could also take a walk on Shell Island and look for sea shells, or experience a snorkel adventure in the shallow waters on the coast of the Panama City Island.
